Robert F. “Bob” Elson

Elson, Robert F. “Bob” of Quincy, passed away on September 22, 2012. The beloved husband of the late Barbara (Bunszell) Elson. Loving father of Deborah Aspell of Braintree, Michael of CA, Stephen of Quincy, Edward and his wife Jeanine of Utah and Jane Laura and her husband Edward of Quincy and the late Robert F. Elson, Jr. Brother of Mary Elson of Quincy and the late Regina Alexander. Cherished “Papa” of Robert, Jr., Kaitlyn, Barbara and Sarah Aspell and Edward, Jr., Justin, & Jason Laura. Great grandfather of Rylie & Michael O’Hara. Robert is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bob grew up in Roxbury and spent many years in Dorchester before moving to Quincy 43 years ago. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Local #25. Bob enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland and his yearly trip to Saratoga Springs. He loved music and really enjoyed birthday parties. Bob had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, but the foundation of his life was his family and his friends, especially his grandchildren, he adored them and in return they cherished him. Bob will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 10:45am in the funeral home on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Carmelite Sisters, 5 Wheatland St., Peabody, MA 01960.
