Robert E. Gaulrapp Sr.

Gaulrapp, Robert E., Sr. “Bob” of Hingham, formerly of South Boston, died January 19, 2015. 

Bob worked for General Dynamics before attending boot camp in Paris Island for the United States Marine Corps and was enlisted during the Korean War.  He went on to serve as an awarded Boston Police Patrolman for 14 years. He was assigned to Fenway Park during at the 1975 playoffs and World Series and was always an avid fan since childhood. He loved to travel to the Cape and Naples, FL. Bob loved his family most of all, and cherished his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Ann (Manley) Gaulrapp. Devoted father to Robert, Mark, Karen Doyle, and Nancy Pichard. Loving brother of Joan Smith and John Gaulrapp. Cherished Papa to Brian Doyle, Haley Pichard, and Shannon Doyle. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:15 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
