Robert E. Daly

Daly, Robert E. of Hingham, died May 7, 2013, at home and surrounded by family following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Bob was a 1968 graduate of Dorchester High School.  He was an electrician by trade and was a 41-year member of IBEW Local #103.  He was passionate about redesigning, rebuilding, and riding classic British motorcycles, the Motorcycles for Humanity project at his church, ski racing, attending Friday breakfast with his friends, and spending time with his loving family.  He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, creative mind, and personal philosophy of “Life is Good.” 

Beloved husband of Carol (MacNeil) Daly of Hingham.  Loving father of Amanda (Daly) Berman and her husband Dmitry of Waltham.  Cherished son of Rita (Keymont) Daly of South Boston and the late Francis Daly.  Brother of Francis of Hingham, Donna of Weymouth, Dianne Dunphy (Thomas) of Pembroke, William (Mona) of Mansfield, Dennis (Madelene) of Marshfield, Thomas of Weymouth, and Debra Daly-Cahalane (Terrence) of S. Boston.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Saturday prior to the funeral service at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 916 Main St., Hingham, at 11 AM.  Burial in Hingham Cemetery at Old Ship Church.  Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
