Robert E. Cormack, 82, of Quincy passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol A. (Holland) Cormack, four daughters, Jean C. O’Brien and her husband Timothy of Hanson, Maureen O’Brien and her husband Edward of Braintree, Joanne Cormack of Quincy, and Marianne Alcaro and her husband Kevin of Marshfield. Cherished Grampy of four granddaughters, Caroline and Jamie O’Brien of Braintree and Christina and Julie Alcaro of Marshfield. He is also survived by his sister -in -law Josephine Cormack of San Antonio, TX. Son of the late Kathleen M. and John J. Cormack of Quincy, MA. He was also the brother of the late Frank W. Cormack, John J. Cormack and Richard L. Cormack.

Born and educated in Quincy, he was a graduate of Quincy High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy.

A lifelong resident of Wollaston, Bob was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving as the official photographer for the USS Intrepid. He worked at New England Telephone Company for his entire career and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was an avid reader, modern history enthusiast, passionate gardener and most of all, devoted and loving Grampy to his four granddaughters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church at 10:00 am. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
