Campbell and his dear friend, Laura Becker, both of Framingham, James P. and Nancy E. Campbell, both of Quincy. Brother of Paul W. of Seattle, Alice Lyons of Medfield, Barbara Curran of Falmouth, Virginia Minihan of New Hartford, CT, Gerald of Falmouth, James of Pembroke, and Eleanor Hawkins of Winchester. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2:00-4:00 and 7:00- 9:00 PM. Burial in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. Campbell graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. He worked as a technician for Verizon and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He served in Vietnam from 1968-1969 in the U.S. Army 513th Maintenance Battalion in PhuBai. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #2222. In 1989 he earned the Life-Saving Award Plaque, the highest award the IBEW has to offer. It was given for Mr. Campbell’s quick analysis of the hazard involved in a fallen power line on November 4, 1998. His preventative actions stopped others from contacting the line, undoubtedly saving several lives.
