Robert F. D'Amato passed away suddenly on October 21 2024, at the age of 81
Robert embarked on a fulfilling career in mechanical engineering at Raytheon where his dedication and expertise laid the foundation for a life devoted to learning and sharing knowledge. After his retirement, he embraced a new chapter at Lowe's, where he delighted in assisting customers with their projects. His innate ability to lend a hand and offer sound advice was a testament to his generous nature and passion for helping others.
A proud graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1961, Robert carried with him the tenacity and zest for life that defined him. Known for his talkative demeanor, creativity, and hardworking spirit, he was a perfectionist who poured his heart into everything he undertook. Family and friends were often inspired by his willingness to jump in and assist with household projects, showcasing not only his skills but also his capacity for warmth and camaraderie.
Robert had a unique personality that drew people in. He was known as a conversationalist whose warmth and charm resonated with everyone he met. His outgoing nature and social spirit made him a friend to many, while his creativity inspired those fortunate enough to know him. A problem-solver at heart, he tackled challenges with a toolbox in one hand and determination in the other—never hesitating to engage in projects that piqued his interest. Even in his 80s, his spirit remained vibrant, as he studied Krav Maga, embodying the essence of resilience and perseverance.
Though his career was a significant part of his identity, Robert's proudest accomplishment always remained his family. Above all else, he valued the time spent as a family, cherishing the moments, memories, and milestones that defined their collective existence
