Rita R. Walsh

Walsh, Rita R. (Bourdage) of Weymouth, passed away November 19, 2018.

Born in Quincy and later moving to Weymouth, Rita was the daughter of Rudolph Bourdage of Canada and Maud Favreau of Putnum CT. In 1948 she married the love of her life, James J. Walsh to whom she was married for 63 until his passing.

A graduate of Quincy High School in 1943, she later went on to work for the Weymouth Schools for over 20 years as a payroll clerk. She took up employment with the Weymouth Council on Aging as an Watercolor Art Instructor. Rita loved gardening and to be crafty painting watercolors at the Braintree and Weymouth Art Associations. Beloved mother of Richard Walsh of Weymouth. Loving sister to the late Jeannette Duffy, Theresa Meaney and Doris Bourdage and Norman Bourdage.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Bernard’s Parish Cemetery, Concord.
