Rita M. Quirk

Quirk, Rita May (Kelley), 91, of Hanover, formerly of Weymouth, passed away September 10, 2016.

Beloved wife of 54 years to the late George W. Quirk. Loving mother of Carol Ann Murphy and her husband Frank of Hanover, Maureen Geddis and her husband Steven of Hanover and Irene Egerton of Whitman. Cherished grandmother of Frank Murphy, Jr. and his wife Shoshana of So. Easton, Jennifer Larson and her husband Shawn of Sandwich, Phillip Egerton of Whitman, Steven Geddis, Jr. and his wife Brittany of Hanover, Laura Murphy and her fiance Chris Milner of NH and George Geddis of Hanover. Great-grandmother of Ciara and Hannah Murphy and Makenna, Roan and Olivia Larson. Dear sister of Carol Barbara Kelley of Weymouth and the late Edmund, Dave, Milton, Kenny and Jean Kelley.  Rita is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

For over 20 years, Rita was a waitress for Local #26. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends.  Her greatest joy, throughout the years, was making memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30AM. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
