Rita M. Devlin

Rita Marie (Crandall) (Washburn) Devlin, aged 83, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, at Pope Nursing Home, Weymouth, MA.

She was born on April 29, 1941, in Boston, MA, to Charles and Rita Crandall. She was a proud resident of Jamacia Plain, Roslindale and Quincy for many years. Married to George Washburn sr., giving son George Jr., then to Joseph Devlin Sr., giving daughter Colleen and son Joseph Jr. She was a house wife, then employed at Sherill House in Jamacia Plain for 22 years before retiring. She loved cooking, shopping and above all bingo. She is predeceased by sister Carol Levy, and is survived by brother Charles Crandall of Roslinedale, MA. Son George Devlin of Hardeeville, SC. Daughter Colleen Chadwick of Medfield, MA. Son Joseph Devlin of Abington, MA and many grand and great grand-children. She will be deeply missed by many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations to dementia research are appreciated.
