Rita M. (Colinear) Dibona

Mrs. Rita M (Colinear) DiBona, of Hanover, passed away on May 4, 2024. She was 92

Rita was born in Pittsburg, PA, a daughter of the late Cosmo and Mary (Shebeck) Colinear, she had lived in Hanover for the past few years.   Rita started her career at Irwin Bulider’s Supply and the after marrying Bob and moving to Massachusetts, she worked for many years for Grossman’s, and most recently working alongside her son Mark at Cagney’s Restaurant in Quincy known as “The Keno Girl”. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those that knew and loved her.

Rita had a great love for all sports, horse racing, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and her large “extended family”.  Holiday gatherings were her favorite, and she always entertained and blessed everyone with stories of life on the farm.  She shared many fond memories of growing up in Larimer PA with her brothers, family and lifelong friends.

A new chapter started for her as a resident of Benchmark Assisted Living where she quickly became a favorite among everyone there.  She made many new friends, enjoyed days in the sunshine, and an occasional  cold beer with lunch.  She brought a smile, and a wink to everyone she met.

She was truly a “Mom” to so many, and will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 am on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10am.

Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
