Rita M. (Aucoin) Macmurray

Rita (AuCoin) MacMurray, 70, President and founder of ACM Services and loving mother and wife, died peacefully surrounded by all of her family on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015, after fighting a year-long battle with Mesothelioma Cancer.

She was a creative artist, intelligent businesswoman, proud mother, grandmother, and a dedicated housewife.  Over the years, she enjoyed teaching art, creating oil paintings, making jewelry, playing golf and tennis, summering at the Cape, wintering in Florida, sharing her entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge with her children and spending quality time with her special friends, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, her husband’s sisters, and with her soul mate of over fifty years, her husband. Rita clearly had a zest for life, a strong will to live and an eagerness to make it until Christmas Day to spend it with her family, which she did.

She was born and raised in East Weymouth, moved to South Weymouth after marrying and went on to raise her four children in Hingham where she resided for the remainder of her life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles William MacMurray, Jr., of North Weymouth and Hingham, and is the loving daughter of Margaret (Delorey) and the late Thomas AuCoin, of Nova Scotia and Weymouth. She was the matriarch to an extended, close-knit family, and leaves behind four cherished children, Stacey MacMurray of Braintree and Costa Rica, Gregory MacMurray of Exton, Pennsylvania, Renee MacMurray of Pembroke, Melissa Woodford and her husband Bryan Woodford of Middleborough and eight gorgeous grandchildren Christian McLoughlin, Cormac McLoughlin, Elizabeth MacMurray, Megan MacMurray, Cheyenne O’Ciardubhain, Saoirse O’Ciardubhain, Ronan O’Ciardubhain and Aiden Woodford. She was sister of Barbara Frongello of Collegeville, PA, Catherine Thibodeau of Weymouth,  Martha Abraham of Pembroke,  Mary Cosgrove of Hingham, Paula Hennessy of Abington, Michael AuCoin of Hull, and the late Thomas Robert Aucoin and Stephen AuCoin. She was also the proud aunt to 60 nieces and nephews.
