Rita Kelly

Rita Kelly (McGuire) of Weymouth, died February 6, 2015 at the age of 95.

Rita attended Mass daily at Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth.  She was active in many church activities including the “Morning Glorys” coffee group, the church choir, and Sodality. She also volunteered for the Food Pantry and Newcomers’ Club.   Rita always tried to make others feel good and will be remembered for her wonderful laugh.

She was the wife of the late James Kelly. Loving mother of Janice Kelly Windborne of Columbus, OH, Carolyn Kelly Kay and husband Herb of Pembroke, Jeff Kelly and wife Katie O’Connor of Harwich, Merilee Kelly of New Bedford, and Joe Kelly of Weymouth.  Cherished “Nana” of Lindsey, Erica, Danny, Jordan, April, Michayla, Aidan, Maya, and Shaylyn.  Sister of H. Leonard McGuire and wife Julia of Manomet, and the late Mary McBrearty, Edward McGuire and Loretta Doyle.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St., East Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
