Rita J. Mahoney

Mahoney, Rita J. (Hogan)  age 92 of Wollaston, died November 2, 2014.

Beloved wife of  Edward V. Mahoney of Wollaston who shared 67 years of marriage together.  Loving mother of  Kathleen Taylor and her husband David of Hudson, NH, Edward V. Mahoney, Jr.  and his wife Nancy of Rockland and the late Karen Tringale.  Sister of the late Anne Tumulty and Helen Ferrara. Mother in law of Guy Tringale of Quincy.  She was the loving grandmother to Laurie Mahoney; Kevin Taylor; Adam, Alex and Ashley Tringale and Edward and Christopher Mahoney.  Cherished great grandmother of Kaitlyn, Timothy, Tyler, Paige and Neve.  Rita was also survived by  family members  and friends who will miss her.

Rita grew up in South Boston (Southie) with her sisters Anne and Helen with whom she shared a very special bond together.  Rita and her husband Edward lived in Wollaston for over 57 years where she devoted her life to her family.  Rita had a special spot in her heart for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren,  she loved hearing all about what was going on in all of their lives.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 8:30-10:00 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
