Rita E. Kenney

Kenney, Rita E. (Scannell) of Quincy after a brief illness on February 1, 2005. The beloved wife of 45 years to John F. Kenney. Loving Mother of Elizabeth (Scribner) and her husband Christopher Aronne of Quincy and Patricia (Scribner) and her husband John Bailey of Abington. Daughter of the late Emmett N. Scannell & Ada (MacLean) Scannell. Sister of Bernard & John Scannell both of Dorchester, Roger Scannell of ME, Mary Gardina of South Boston and the late Katherine Kovalski, Donald, James, Edward, Emmett and Joseph Scannell. Rita was also the devoted grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Parish in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Sea St. Quincy Friday at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Rita was a long time volunteer at Quincy Hospital – working there for more than 33 years. She was past president of the womens auxillary group.
