Rick Mclaughlin

McLaughlin, Rick of Quincy, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2011. Beloved husband of Tricia (Bertucci) McLaughlin and loving father of Lucy Karen and Molly Frances. Cherished son of Richard McLaughlin of Quincy and Dorothy Egan of Braintree. Loving brother of Jason of Quincy, Sean of Boston, and Amy of Braintree. Grandson of Mary Egan of Rockland. Also survived by many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and his niece and nephew, whom he loved dearly. Rick experienced life to the fullest. His time spent with his girls is where his heart shined the brightest, especially during his weekly trips to Brighams. His adoration and love for his wife and daughters was admired by all. He was the core for his friends and family through the best and worst of times. Whether it was a simple cookout in the summer or charity events around the city, Rick’s presence was always felt. Some of his favorite weekly and annual events were Standishpaloser (A charity event for his longtime friend), the bowling league, softball, morning golf and trips across the country. Rick had a passion for his work, music, sports and of course playing his drums. He embodied the definition of a “man’s man”. His creative spirit, as well as his pranks, will be missed by all. Rick worked for many years at ING and also as a Realtor at Keller Williams. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Our lives will forever be saddened without his smile and laughter.
