Walsh, Richard W; ret. BPD of Weymouth, passed away November 25, 2012. Son of the late James F. Walsh, BFD, and Patricia M. (Ryan) Walsh. Loving father of Melissa W. Hodgdon and her husband, Jim, of Norwell, and Kristin A. Walsh-Pederson and her husband, Chris, of Hull. Brother of Patricia Travers of Taunton, Mary Greene of Hull, James Walsh of Weymouth, Francis Walsh of Hull, Stephen Walsh of Florida, and Kathleen Walsh of Hull. Grandfather of Ryan, Samantha, Ian, Haley, Brannick, and Flannery. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Walsh graduated from Northeastern University, until his retirement he worked as a Boston Police Detective for 33 years and he also served in the Navy on the USS Davis. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:30 AM.
