Richard W. Mccarthy, Jr.

Richard W. McCarthy, Jr. of Middleboro, formerly of Plymouth and Weymouth, died December 12, 2021 at the age of 70.

Rick enjoyed a long career as a sheet metal mechanic including 10 years with Alvin Hollis. He enjoyed sports and played football in high school. He also played and umpired softball and competed in baseball well into his adulthood. Rick loved spending time at the family cottage in Humarock with his cousins and extended family.

Son of the late Richard McCarthy and Barbara Sterling. Beloved husband of 40 years to Gail M. (Bagnulo) McCarthy. Brother of Paula Schraut of Whitman and her former husband James Schraut of Hanson; and Daniel McCarthy and his wife Kathy of Weymouth. Loving uncle of Jaime Sullivan and her husband Daniel and their children Daniel and Olivia; Erica Schraut; and Jason Schraut. Brother in law of Ronald Bagnulo and his wife Donna of Canton; and Richard Bagnulo and his wife Carol Anne of Raleigh, NC. Also survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
