Richard V. Vaisey

Vaisey, Richard V. “Dick” of Hingham,  passed away November 5, 2014.

Dick was the adored only child  of the late William and Julia A. (Sepega) Vaisey.  Loving father of Erik Vaisey and his companion Karen Ahola of Marshfield and Nicole Bates and her Husband Stephen of Duxbury. Former husband of Madelyn Vaisey of Marshfield.  Dick was also the loving companion of the late Sheila Connelly of Hingham. He will also be remembered and missed by his adopted family who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Dick”,  Kristen Connelly of Weymouth, Kathleen Welch and her husband Vance of Hull,  Kerry Beaulieu and her husband John of Hingham, and Diana Romano of Weymouth. Loving Grandfather in spirit to Jake and Michael Welch, Faith Beaulieu and Alex and Ethan Bates.

Dick was a graduate of the Boston Architectural Center and received the Gold Medal award for outstanding Architectural Excellence. Dick looked at life differently than the rest of us.  He noticed everything large and small with the enthusiasm of a child and the brilliance of the gifted artist and Architect that he was.  Dick was inspired by everything he saw and incorporated it into his designs. The “Pyramid” on Atlantic Hill which is part of the amazing Legacy he left to us all was inspired by a game of Jenga. His brilliant mind, magnificent designs, gentle spirit and dry sense of humor will remain in our hearts and be  missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Parish, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10 AM.
