Dineen, Richard T. “Dick” of Hull, December 29, 2002. Devoted husband of the late Margaret C. “Peggy” (McInerney) Dineen. Beloved father of Margaret Dineen Henshall, Claire Dineen, both of Hull, Richard Dineen of Plymouth, Timothy Dineen of South Weymouth, and Michelle Dineen of Hull. Brother of the late Claire Dineen. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours Monday 2:00- 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. There will be a Bible Talk on Monday at 8:30 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Mr. Dinnen loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. Mr. Dineen did local and cross country truck driving for work. Prior to InCom he worked for Stop & Shop and Cumberland Farms. He also worked for Hitchcock Shoe in Hingham for many years. He served in the Merchant Marines and the Navy. A graduate of Somerville High School, Mr. Dineen was a well-read and self-taught scholar. From his work as a truckdriver he enjoyed maps – planning differents routes and geography. He was a admirer of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He loved to travel. His travels took him to Hawaii and Las Vegas as well as numerous other places. He loved to cook and was the master chef of his family. He enjoyed feeding the birds in his backyard. They were known to follow and wait for his arrival, particularly one bird that he nicknamed “Mr. Bowtie.
