Richard R. Ward

Ward, Richard R. “Dick” of Pembroke, died August 30, 2021.  

Dick was a retired Commander for the United States Navy and proudly served his country. He was very involved with the Vietnamese community and brought several families to Pembroke. He worked part time at Talbot’s for 16 years and loved animals. He was a caring and fun loving man who loved to dance. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Loving son of the late Francis V. Ward and Josephine R. (Rollins) Ward. Cherished brother of Francis V. Ward, Jr. and his late wife Florence of Hingham and Geoffrey Ward and his wife Mary Ann of Cohasset. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 9-10:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dick may be made to Meals on Wheels America, P.O. Box 791568, Baltimore, MD 21279.
