Richard P. O’Sullivan Sr.

O’Sullivan, Richard P., Sr. of Hingham, originally of Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and adored his family. He was a generous man and would never hesitate to help those in need. He worked as a technician for United Airlines for many years and was always a hard, dedicated worker. Richard’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Harbor House and Beacon Hospice for all of the wonderful care that they provided over the years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Teresa B. (Laffey) O’Sullivan of Hingham. Loving father of Richard P. O’Sullivan Jr. and his wife Donna of Hingham, Maureen O’Sullivan and her husband Stanley Rosenberg of Braintree, Kathleen Santoro and husband Luke of ME, and Sheila McManus and her husband Eugene of Dover. Cherished brother of Tom O’Sullivan of CA (deceased), Michael O’Sullivan of Medford, Ann Russell of Marshfield, Bridie Waters of England, and Jack O’Sullivan of Ireland. Adored Grandpa of Shelby, Shaelin, Evan, Abigail, Peter, and Rori. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 9-10:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation, Donation Processing, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
