Mr. Richard P. “Dick” Cordingley of Weymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2016.
Dick was a 60 year member of Local # 103 as well as a long time member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed golfing and most especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Virginia C. “Ginny” (Mulcahy) Cordingley. Loving father of Bob Cordingley and his wife, Nancy, of Whitman, Diane Cordingley and her husband, Ronald Perez, of Los Angeles, CA, Chris Cordingley and his wife, Cindy, of Kingston, and Denise Bunszell and her husband, Gary of Plymouth. Proud Grandfather of Emmeline, Olivia, Lily, William, Benjamin, Robert, Melissa, and Matthew. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
Burial will follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
Due to the limitations of flowers at the cemetery, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, New York, 10004.
