Regan, Richard M., a long time Hingham resident and former State Street Bank executive, passed away peacefully at his home in Westwood on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, he was 81. A native of Somerset, MA. husband of the late Mary Jayne (Mycroft) Regan. Mr. Regan was a 1950 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. A graduate of Boston College School of Law class of 1956, he began his career with General Tire in Marion, Indiana. He returned to Massachusetts where he was Vice President of State Street Bank Corporation for 22 years. Mr. Regan lived in Hingham for 31 years as well as Oak Bluffs. Father of Richard M. Regan of Shrewsbury, Mary R. Coleman of Needham, Ann P. Murphy of Norwood and Mark J. Regan of Mission Viejo, CA. Brother of John M. Regan of Oak Bluffs. Mr. Regan is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4 – 7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45AM on Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church at 11:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Regan may be made to The Crusaders Athletic Fund at the College of the Holy Cross, 1 College St. Worcester, MA 01610 .
