Beloved husband of 54 years of Virginia (MacEachern) Barrett of Weymouth. Loving father of Richard M. Barrett, Jr. of Weymouth, Robert M. Barrett and his wife Donna and Ronald M. Barrett and his wife Joanne of Brockton.  Dear brother of Maryellen Reardon of Louisianna, Daniel C. Barrett of Weymouth and the late Alice A. Barrett.  Cherished grandfather of Grace and Robert, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
