Richard K. “Rich” Aitken Jr.

Rich worked at Harvard Management Company in Boston as a trading floor system analyst, he was the AVP of market data and trading systems at Wellington Financial and most recently worked at Eaton Vance in Boston as a Systems Business Analyst. Rich’s passion lied in friends and family, especially his two daughters of whom he was the most proud. Rich was smart, resourceful and hard-working from a very early age and enjoyed many successes in life. An avid Patriots fan, he enjoyed tailgating, hosting and all things motorcycles. Rich will be remembered for giving the best hugs, his contagious smile and his great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Loving father of Mia and Sophia Aitken, and former husband of their mom, Cindy Aitken. Beloved son of Maria Aitken and the late Richard Aitken Sr. Cherished brother of Trina Bosse. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, June 18 from 3-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be private due to Covid-19.   For your safety, there are Covid-19 precautions in place, face coverings must be worn and there is limited amount of guests allowed in the funeral home at a time.
