Richard J. “Richie” Gerstel

Gerstel, Richard J. “Richie” of Quincy formerly of Jamaica Plain, July 28, 2004. Beloved husband of Ann M. (Price) of Quincy. Loving son of Anna M. (Manning) of Roslindale and the late Charles H.W. Gerstel. Brother of the late Charles P. Gerstel. Uncle of the late Charles P. Gerstel, Jr. Also survived by his beloved uncle Paul Manning of Rockland and several aunts and many nieces and nephews. Richard was educated in Boston schools. He worked at the Barnstead Company in West Roxbury for 20 years before working at the security department of the Massachusetts Trial Court in 1987. He has been at the Quincy District Courthouse for the past 10 years, where his steady good nature was appreciated by fellow court personell and the legal community.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
