McCormick, Richard J. of Quincy June 12, 2007. Son of the late Richard P. & Dorothy M. (Clifford) McCormick. Brother of Eileen P. MacLeod of Pocasset and the late Dorothy M. DaRois. Longtime Companion of Mary Ellen Walsh of Milton. Richard is also survived by 1 niece and 4 nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 5- 7 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Veterans Homeless Shelter, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108 or to St. Judes Childrens Research, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38105.United States Army Vietnam Veteran. Lifetime member of the Nickerson Post. Prior to the burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery (immediately following the Mass), please join the family at the Weary Travelers Hall. Directions to Weary Traveler’s hall in Bourne, MA At Bourne Bridge, go around the rotary and go south on Rte. 28 (also called McArthur’s Blvd.) Go approx. 1-1/2 miles and take a right on to Clay Pond Road at Mobil Station. Go Approx. 1/2 mile and take a left on to Valley Bars Road. Go approx 1/4 mile and the hall in on the right. Drive around back and go downstairs. Lunch 12:15 – 2:15 pm. Service at National cemetery following at 2:45 pm. Richard J. McCormick was raised in Quincy, He graduated from North Quincy High School Class of 1969. Richard served in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971.Richard received a purple heart for his service. He was a former employee of the City of Boston for many years. Richard was a lifetime member of the Nickerson Post # 382 – American Legion as well as the DAV in North Quincy.
