Richard J. Higgins

Richard J. Higgins  of East Weymouth, passed away November 9, 2015.

Son of the late Patrick J. and Helen (Powers) Higgins. Loving husband of the late Jeanne Higgins. Loving father of Richard C. Higgins and his wife Rini of East Weymouth.  Cherished “Papa” of Liam and Molly.  Brother of the late Edward, Robert, Roberta Rennie, Henry and William Higgins and late Brother-in-Law Freddie Byrnes. 

Richard proudly served our country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Yosemite.  He was a lifelong member of the Weymouth Elks Lodge # 2232 as well as the Weymouth Knights of Columbus.  Richard was an avid card player, sports enthusiast, pool player and fisherman. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street) .Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:45 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
