Donna, Richard J. “Dick” of Quincy, April 11, 2003. The beloved husband of 44 years to Marianne V. (Garland) Donna of Quincy Loving Father of Catherine Bianco of Weymouth, Richard J. Donna, Jr. of Kansas City, MO and Mark S. Donna of Rochester, NH. Brother of John Donna of Needham, Patricia Quigley and Cathleen Donovan both of Norwood. Devoted Grandfather of Alexis & Makaila Donna. Mr. Donna is also survived by several nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery , Randolph. Donations in memory of Mr. Donna may be made to Sacred Heart Church Building Fund 386 Hancock Street North Quincy, MA 02171. Mr. Donna died at the Faulkner on Friday, April 11, 2003 after a period of failing health, he was 72. He was a life long resident of Quincy. He graduated from North Quincy High School class of 1948 and attended Boston College. Mr. Donna was employed by Granite City Electric in Quincy and then later at Comer Electric in Norwell for many years before retiring in 1993. Richard was a veteran of the Korean war serving in the United States Navy as an Electrician Mate on the U.S.S. Jubilant. Mr. Donna was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2259, serving most recently as District Deputy. He was also a Past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator of the Cardinal Cushing Assembly. He was a member of the Color Corp in the North Quincy K of C. Mr. Donna was a communicant and usher at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy for many years. Richard loved to cook and often did so for large groups. He once stayed up all night long roasting a pig for a Knights of Columbus outing.
