Richard J. Bryant

Bryant, Richard J. died November 13, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born, raised, and educated in South Boston and Brookline. He and his loving wife Margaret married in 1969. They settled in Weymouth where they raised their family. Richard enjoyed a long and prosperous career designing and managing in the fire protection industry. He enjoyed teaching CCD, and coaching girls high school soccer. Richard delighted in reading, fishing and in recent years, journaling. He served his country for over 10 years in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was a 4th degree Franciscan, and a man of faith. Richard will be missed for his kind heart and compassion.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Margaret Bryant (Hurley). Devoted father to Kimberly Anne Reed and her husband William, Jeffrey Charles and his wife Tammy Jean and Richard Daniel. Cherished “Pappy” to Michael Ryan, Tyler Michael, Camen Jeffrey, Noah William, Ethan Richard, and Emma Jean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home in South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
