Richard F. “Rick” Hammond

Richard F. “Rick” Hammond of Weymouth, died unexpectedly, January 27, 2017. He was 65.

Rick was a hardworking man, a carpenter by trade, for over 40 years. He was a member of the Weymouth Elks. Rick could often be found playing golf. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, quiet and witty nature and heart of gold.  

Beloved husband of Carol (O’Hare) Hammond of Weymouth. Devoted father of Rick Hammond and his wife Petrine of Whitman, Ryan Hammond and his fiancee Maribeth Gauthier of Whitman and “RickDad” to Tracey Silva and her husband Celio of Weymouth and Nicole Wing and her husband Mike of Braintree. Cherished Papa of Reese and Reid Hammond, Cassie, Madi, Olivia, Sam, Domenic, William, Charlotte and Lily. Loving brother of Brian Hammond of NY, Paul Hammond of Weymouth and Patricia Craig of Kingston. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
