Mr. Richard F., Jr. Grafton, of Weymouth, passed away April 13, 2022.
Born in Boston a son of the late Richard and Catherine (O’Leary) Grafton, he lived in Weymouth for many years, and was a Boston Police Detective until his retirement in 2006. Mr. Grafton was also an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Richard loved spending time with his family and friends during cookouts at home. Richard had a great time at Foxwoods playing “Let it Ride”. He also found great joy in traveling to Disney World and watching his children and grandchildren enjoy the amusements. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of Mary E (Pollard) Grafton.
Loving father of Carolyn Serafini and her husband Todd, of Weymouth, Richard Grafton, and his wife Lisa, of Abington, Michael Grafton, and his wife Danielle, of Abington, and Paul Grafton, of Weymouth. Proud Papa of Alyssa, Christopher, Madison, Olivia, Brendon, Trevor, Hunter, Aiden, Hannah, Matthew, Brody and Wes. He was the loving brother of Peggy Cooke of Florida, and the late Joan Grafton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11am Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 12 PM.
Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St. Quincy, 02
