Richard F. Bartlett

Bartlett, Richard F. of Weymouth, 92, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a graduate of Quincy High School. Until his retirement, Richard worked for 17 years for Boston Edison as a steam engineer. He was a life member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks # 2232 and he was a bingo volunteer and enjoyed playing on their golf team. He was also a Past President of the Weymouth Senior Citizen’s Recreation Club. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and following the New England Patriots. Mr. Bartlett served honorably in the United States Army during World War II and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the 10th Armored Division Veteran’s Association. He will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Stokes) Bartlett. Loving father of Karen A. Lombard and her husband, Christopher, of Crossville, TN, Robert Bartlett and his companion, Kimberly Ferguson, of Weymouth, and the late Richard K. Bartlett. Brother of Priscilla Brew of California.  Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street) 

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
