Morgan, Richard A. of Quincy, formerly of ME, Fall River and Somerset, September 16, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne A. (Dionne) and Veronica F. (Apps). Loving father of Janet Hester and her husband Edward of Quincy and Richard B. Morgan of Roanoke, VA. Father-in-law of Mariana Morgan of TX. Brother of the late Marie Reagan, Rita Conway and John Morgan. Grandpa to Kathleen M. Hester of Quincy, Lydia J. Morgan of Stoneham, PFC Gilbert J. Morgan of Ft. Wainwright, AK and Patrick W. Morgan of TX. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was most proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to read, especially about history. He was a railroad buff and an avid Red Sox fan. Mr. Morgan was good with his hands and enjoyed carpentry. Richard never said an unkind word and was a loyal and sociable friend. He was also open-minded and took pleasure in political discussions. Mr. Morgan was a salesman for the Fall River Gas Company and worked in security for Montaup Electric in Somerset, MA. Richard was also a part-time constable in Somerset for several years. He graduated from Dorchester High School, attended Boston Trade School and served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Friday 7-9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Morgan may be made to Help Our Troops, c/o Stoneham Bank, Attn: Rebecca Scott, 80 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham, MA 02180.
