Rev. William J. Devine

Devine, Reverend Monsignor William J. of Quincy June 1, 2002. Son of the late Michael & Catherine Devine. The last of 11 brothers & sisters, he was the uncle of Margaret Spero of Braintree, Mary Barry of Weymouth, Rev. William G. Devine S.J., of Boston, Monsignor Michael Devine of FL, Brian Devine of Ireland & Kathleen Devine of Boston. Also survived by many grand nieces & nephews. Monsignor Devine will be lying in state in Immaculate Conception Church, 775 Harrison Ave., Boston Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Monsignor Devine was ordained in the Demoine Archdiosese of Ireland in 1931. He spent 50 years at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Audubon, Iowa serving as Pastor.
