Rev. Thomas F. Keane

Keane, Rev. Thomas F., entered into eternal life on June 4, 2011. The beloved son of the late Thomas P. and Mary (Lydon) Keane. He is survived by his devoted sister Judith Keane of Dorchester. Devoted brother of the late Rev. Alfred V. Keane, M.N., and the late Mary Anne Tripp. Brother-in-law of the late Richard Tripp. Loving uncle to four and cherished grand uncle to eight. Fr. Keane was ordained February 2, 1956 and assigned to St. Anthony’s, Allston until 1965. After service in St. Boniface, Fr. Tom entered the U.S. Air Force Chaplaincy Corps, retiring in 1986 as a Chaplain Colonel, Vietnam Veteran. He was assigned as a Parish Priest from 1986-1987 at St. Ann’s, Neponset. Fr. Keane continued serving the Lord as Pastor of St. Ann’s Parish in Wollaston until retiring in 1999. Fr. Tom continued his ministry during retirement at Regina Cleri, serving the parishes of St. Joseph’s and St. Mary’s, in Quincy and St. Elizabeth in Milton. Visiting hours at Regina Cleri Residence, 60 Cardinal O’Connell Way, Boston, Wednesday from 2-4 PM. Vigil Service at 3:45 PM. A Rite of Reception will be held at St. Ann Church, Wollaston, Thursday at 4 PM – Fr. Keane will lie in state there until 7 PM. Concelebrated Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Friday at 11 AM. Interment with full military honors will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Regina Cleri, 60 Cardinal O’Connell Way, Boston, MA 02114 or Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2042 Beacon Street, Newton MA 02468.
