Rev. George Brennan

Brennan, Rev. George Brennan, Age 71 of Sarasota, FL formerly of Quincy, died January 20, 2011. Father Brennan was born in Providence, RI on January 20, 1940. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Meinrad College in St. Meinrad, Ind., in 1983. From there he joined St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach where he later earned a master’s degree in Divinity. He was ordained on May 17, 1987, at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice by then Bishop John J. Nevins. As a priest of the Diocese, Father Brennan served at Incarnation Parish in Sarasota; St. Paul Parish in Arcadia; and Administrator of St. Patrick Parish in Sarasota. Father Brennan retired in September 2008. Father Brennan is survived by his sister, Jeanne Allen of Easton. He was the uncle of Geraldine Delisle and Cathleen Callahan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the the Funeral Mass, Thursday February 17, 2011 in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 12 noon. Interment will be in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
