Loving father of Lynn LaFond-Linehan & her husband Richard of Hingham, Paul LaFond & his wife Karen of Hanover and Mark LaFond & his wife Stephanie of Hingham. Loving “Papa” of Ryan, Catherine, Michelle, Jillian, Emily, and Michael. Former husband of Patricia LaFond. Brother of Jeannine Armstrong of Hingham. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Mr. LaFond proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant from 1951 to 1954. He retired from Thomas E. Sears, Inc. as Senior Vice President in 1997 after 49 years. He was a past president of CPCU, Boston Chapter, a past member of the Boston Rotary Club, and a member of the American Legion. An avid golfer, he had been a member of the Cohasset Golf Club, Pembroke Country Club and the South Shore Country Club in Hingham.
