Raymond M. “Chip” Smith

Smith, Raymond M.  “Chip” of Quincy, died on  April 9, 2014,  he was 87.

Husband of the late Phyllis (Gotgart) Smith. Loving father of Martin Smith and his wife Jane of Beverly and Linda Smith McCarthy  and her late husband Thomas W. McCarthy. Brother of the late Joseph and Alfred Smith and the late Noreen DeMatteis. Longtime companion of the late Dorothy McGee. Ray is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ray was a student of politics and national affairs. He was a devoted family man who cherished his children. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial will be private.
