LaRue, Raymond L. “Ray” a lifelong resident of Hough’s Neck Quincy, died on Saturday, August 22, 2009. The beloved husband of the late Mary (Griffin) LaRue. Devoted father of Sheila Silva and her husband Eugenio of Quincy, Annmarie Mandiola and her husband Andre of Merrimac, NH and Raymond M. LaRue and his wife Nancy of Attleboro . Ray is pre-deceased by 5 brothers & sisters. Cherished grandfather of David M. & Amy Chenette , Jennifer & Jeffrey Gomm all of Braintree, Jean Chenette of Londonderry, NH and Nicole & Cayla Mandiola both of Merrimac NH. Great grandfather of Alexandra & Katherine Kapolis and Emma Chenette. Ray was a resident at 1000 Southern Artery. A proud veteran serving in the United States Navy during W.W.II and during the Korean War he served in the United States Marine Corp. Ray worked as a custodian for the City of Quincy for more than 25 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan. A member of the Marine Corp. League, American Legion and the V.F.W. Post. He will be remembered as a kind, loving devoted family man, with a great sense of humor. Ray will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1000 Sea St. Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to Norwell VNA, 91 Longwater circle, Norwell, MA 02061.
