Raymond “Ray” Crombie, 70, a resident of Quincy MA, died Friday March 16, 2018. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army 25th Infantry Division. Ray served three tours of duty in Vietnam where he earned numerous medals and commendations. Ray worked for the City of Quincy Courthouse for most of his career. He was Catholic and active in the church. Ray loved his Country, his fellow Vets and his family, he was a helper.
Ray is survived by his wife, Ruth Galligan Crombie of Quincy, his brother’s Ronald Crombie of Hingham, Russell Crombie of Quincy, Randall Crombie and Roy Crombie; sisters Patricia Brightman and Joanne Boyden along with many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret Crombie, and brother of the late Robert and Richard Crombie, Jeanne Gunning, Janet Wilson and Judy Cross . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday, March 19 from 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
