Haslett, Randolph H. “Randy” (ret. QPD) of Quincy October 30, 2004. Husband of the late Eleanor (Nugent) Haslett. Loving father of Carole & her husband Kevin Manning of Whitman, Donna Cummings, Paul Haslett & his wife Fran, all of Weymouth and Kevin Haslett of Quincy. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.Randolph was a 1932 graduate of Quincy High School and remained involved in organizing class reunions for many years. A life long member of the Town River Yacht Club, he was an avid boater and fisherman. Also an accomplished artist, he belonged to the Quincy Art Association. During the depression, he became a marathon dancer to supplement the family income. He served in the Navy from 1935-1939. He worked for several years as a pipe fitter at the Fore River Shipyard before joining the Quincy Police Department. He was one of the original motorcycle officers. He retired in 1977 after 35 years on the force. He loved gardening and was particularly proud of his roses. Donations in memory of Randy may be made to the Alzheimers Association, MA Chapter, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.
