Fagan, Ralph V. of Weymouth, died March 23, 2021.
Ralph was a proud United States Coast Guard Veteran who served his country during the Korean War era. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30+ years before his retirement. After his retirement, Ralph worked at a variety of jobs including as a transportation driver for the disabled and special needs. Ralph was an active member of St. Clare’s Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Ralph enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting stamps, traveling with his wife, reading and most importantly spending time with those he loved. Ralph was known as “the fun uncle” and will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Irene Fagan of Weymouth. Loving father of Ronald Fagan and his wife Theresa of Abington and the late Susan O’Reilly and her late husband Bernard and the late Paul Fagan. Cherished Papa of Andrea, Adam, Amanda, Jillian and Emily. Devoted (great) Papa of Izaiha, Alayna, Kameron, McKenzye, Addie and Hans. Adored son of the late Gerald and Anna Fagan. Caring brother of Gerald Fagan, Bernadette O’Brien and the late Mildred Murphy and the late Dorothy Fahey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10:00 AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ralph may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although some may not be able to gather together with Ralph’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message.
