Ralph E. Motta

Ralph E.  Motta of Hingham, died November 8, 2023, he was 73.  The beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Martin) Motta. Brother of James T. Motta of Diamondhead, MS.  Cherished uncle of Christopher Motta of Paris, France and Timothy Motta of Diamondhead, MS. Stepfather of  Allison MacLean DiRienzo of Plymouth and Michael MacLean of CA. Ralph is also survived by his loving cousins the Catin and Santos’s families.

Ralph was a proud United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Ralph was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of 101st Airborne Division and 2nd of the 506 Infantry within the 101th Airborne Division, Ralph was also a Currahee. After his military career, Ralph began working at Captain Marden Seafood in Westwood, a career that truly was his heart and soul. He worked as a fish broker and he loved every minute he spent there. Ralph was a quiet man with a generous heart. He was truly loved by his family and they will miss him dearly, but feel very grateful for all the blessing he brought into their lives. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family at the graveside service which will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 15th  at 11 AM in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations  in memory of Ralph can be made to the DAV – Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 82, P,O, Box 229, Marlborough, MA 01752.  See www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
