R. David Mangone

R. David Mangone, 56, passed away November 10, 2016 with his family at his side, after a battle with cancer.

He was the loving son of George and Constance Mangone of Rockland, devoted Brother to Steven Mangone of Weymouth, Annette Wright of Coral Springs, FL, Julie Kuhlmann of Coral Springs, FL and Eileen Wali of Portland OR.  He was a loving Uncle to his ten nieces and nephews.  Additionally, he is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

David was born in Quincy and grew up in Weymouth.  He earned the prestigious Eagle Scout Rank with Troop 19 in Weymouth.  He was a graduate of Weymouth North High School Class of 78, and attended Bunker Hill Community College.  Throughout his adult life he lived in NH, CA, FL and Mexico.  He always found time to come back home to spend time with family and those who needed a helping hand. David loved the outdoors and hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2008. He loved to kayak and swim, and after a long hard day he would relax on a hammock with a good book. David will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and giving spirit.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday November 18, at 9am at Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland.  Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
