Vaughn, Priscilla Neville, of Hingham, formerly of Scituate died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 she was 90. Priscilla was born in East Orange, New Jersey in 1920 and grew up in Summit, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Mary Nolan and John Neville. Priscilla had one sister Dorothy Scarry, who predeceased her. She was a graduate of Regis College where she received a BA and Catholic University from which she earned her Masters in Social Work. Priscilla worked for many years as a social worker and counselor with the Children’s Home Society of Virginia and the Florence Crittenton Home in Washington, D.C. Upon retirement she moved to Scituate. Priscilla is predeceased by her husband Charles H. Vaughn, a Boston College and Boston College Law School graduate. She is survived by her two sons, John W. Vaughn and his wife Jean of Norwell, and Charles H. Vaughn, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Pelham, NY . She is also survived by three granddaughters, Christine Vaughn of Larchmont, NY, Jennifer Vaughn, MD of Long Island City, NY and Carolyn Vaughn of Worcester, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday, April 23, 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday, April 24 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Nativity Church at 10 AM. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of lowers, donations in memory of Priscilla may be made to Beacon Hospice 529 Main Street, Suite 101, Charlestown, MA 02129 .
