Doyle, Phyllis T. “Ma” (Meehan) lifelong resident of Quincy, October 13, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Doyle. Loving mother of Janice Ginty and her husband John of Quincy, Linda Leonard and her husband Paul of Edgartown and Robert H. “Bobby” Doyle, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Weymouth. Sister and best friend of Bernice Gallagher of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of Kerry Ginty of Hull, Meghan Carthas and her husband Chris of Braintree, Sean Ginty of Quincy, Keith, Kayla and Gregg Leonard all of Edgartown, Katherine and Conor Doyle both of Weymouth. Great-grandmother of Corah Carthas. Sister-in-law of Marie Meehan of Squantum and Eileen Volkringer of So. Boston, Ma., also survived by many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was born in Boston, and was a 1945 graduate of Dorchester Girls High School. She and her husband settled in Quincy where she raised her children. “Ma” enjoyed camping ,spending summers in Martha’s Vineyard and spending time on the beach with her family. She never missed an opportunity to support her grandchildren at their sporting events. Ma enjoyed traveling and just recently returned from Washington, DC. An avid sports fan, Phyllis always enjoyed cheering on her Boston teams. Most of all, Ma will be remembered by her family, as a women with a great sense of humor, who loved Sunday dinners with her family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Michael Meehan Children’s Education Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, One Snow Road, Marshfield, MA 02050.
