Phyllis L. Sforza

Phyllis L. Sforza (Cook) of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023.  

Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Amos and Ida Cook (Carter). After marrying Frank and settling in Weymouth, much of her time was devoted to her children, extended family, neighbors and friends.  Her home was open to all.  She could always be called upon to lend a hand, talk over a cup of coffee or a swim in the pool on a hot summer day.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, being a Nana and then a Nana Great. 

Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Sforza. Loving mother of Guy “Frankie” Sforza of Weymouth, Richard Sforza and his late wife Janet of Rockland, Linda Sforza Berg and her husband George of Weymouth, Barbara Dowd and her husband Charles of Abington and the late Joseph T. Sforza and his wife, Jane B. Sforza. She was the last of 12 loving siblings; Margaret Nilsson, Robert Cook, Amy Cosman, Edwin Cook, Lucy Sheppard, Charles Cook, Joseph Cook, George Cook, Dorothy Costa, Alberta Irr and Francis Cook.  Cherished grandmother to Susan, Nicole, Angela, Rachel, Alissa, Francis, Bryan, Charles, Samantha, Joshua, Daniel and Amanda and great grandmother to Hayleigh, Cynthia, Alexa, Jade, Caple, Casey, Tyler, Mia, Ella, Josie, Sophie, Bode and Sawyer. Phyllis will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10AM on Tuesday with burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
