Devaney, Phyllis E. (Slattery) a lifelong resident of Hull, died May 14, 2015.
Beloved mother of Mary Christine Devaney and her partner Virginia Shea of Acton, ME, William Devaney and his wife Beverly of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Laura Goldstein and her husband Howard of California. Sister of the late Dorothy Donohue. Cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Former wife of the late William Devaney.
Phyllis was born in Boston and lived in Hull most of her life. She was a graduate of Hingham High School. Phyllis worked at Building 19 in Hingham as an Executive Secretary for 21 years before retiring in 1995. She was a soloist at St. Ann’s Church in Hull and Choir at Glastonbury Abby. She was a dedicated volunteer at the library in Hull. Phyllis was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. Most of all Phyllis loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 9:00-10:30AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
