Phyllis A. Brackley

Brackley, Phyllis Ann (Garfagna) of Hingham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at the age of 95 surrounded by her loving family and loving family in spirit.

She was the darling beloved wife of the late Lester M. Brackley, Jr. Loving mother to Dr. Lester M. Brackley III and his wife Donna of Middleborough and Kathleen Routhier and her dear friend Earl Rexroad of Hingham. Admired and most loving sister-in-law of Maryrose Garfagna of North Easton. She was the cherished daughter born to Joseph and Elena (Montini) Garfagna, who emigrated from Italy. Revered sister of the late Delphine Callahan, Alfred Carfagna, Americo Garfagna, Joseph Garfagna, and Angelo Carfagna. She will be dearly missed by her 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 18 beloved great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews. 

All her lifetime she not only committed to her employment at the Ammunition Depot during WWII and at MASSA Labs but a devoted woman to her family and her extended family who was well known as Nonna and Nonni.

The entire family wishes to extend their gratitude to the South Shore Hospital, Emerson 3 Staff for all their caring support in her final days. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 9-11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Phyllis to South Shore Hospital, Emerson 3, 55 Fogg Rd. South Weymouth, MA 02190.
